A philanthropist is someone who practices philanthropy, derived from a Greek word that means 'love of humanity'; an effort or activity to improve human welfare through donation of their time or money. 

 

Not everyone can support financially and there are plenty of ways to make your contribution during offline events by putting aside some time and volunteering.
